What Is PDF Splitting?

PDF splitting is the process of extracting specific pages from a larger PDF document into a new, smaller file. This is essential when you need only a few pages from a long report, want to remove confidential pages before sharing, or need to break a large document into manageable sections.

Our tool lets you specify an exact page range (e.g., pages 3 to 7) and creates a new PDF containing only those pages, preserving all original formatting and quality.

How It Works

1
Upload PDF
Select the PDF file you want to split.
2
Set Page Range
Enter the starting and ending page numbers to extract.
3
Download Extract
Get your new PDF with only the pages you selected.

Why Use This Tool?

  • Extract any page range from small or large PDF documents.
  • Preserves all original formatting, images, and text quality.
  • Great for sending only relevant pages from contracts or reports.
  • 100% browser-based — no server uploads, complete privacy.
  • Free with no watermarks or page limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I extract a single page?
Yes! Simply set both the 'From Page' and 'To Page' to the same number (e.g., 5 to 5) to extract just that one page.
Does splitting modify my original file?
No. Your original PDF is never modified. We create a brand new PDF file containing only the pages you selected.
Can I extract non-consecutive pages (e.g., pages 2, 5, and 8)?
Currently our tool supports contiguous page ranges. For non-consecutive pages, you can run the tool multiple times and then use our Merge PDF tool to combine them.
Is there a page limit?
No. You can split PDFs of any size. Processing time depends on your device's performance.
